The hood was slated to be painted the next day. Needless to say, it was never painted. The buggy was originally metalflake blue. Doesn't she look good in her new home?

My friend, Tom helping me with the final assembly. I used a new windshield assy. from the Manx Club which allowed me to use hidden mounting bolts as per the "Classic Manx" instructions. Tom is actually moving the windshield mounting bolts around so I can slip the frame down over the bolt heads.

I replaced the original ABS plastic dash with a fiberglass replacement dash from the Manx Club. With the new dash glassed into the hood and instruments installed it's time for the wiring. the pieces of blue tape are notes to remind me of wiring colors. I hate getting old.
When I was done wiring, I was able to draw the schematic using what I had written on the masking tape.

Here is a picture of the folding fuse and relay panel. The panel is fastened to the front firewall and when folded up, it latches into the under dash cross brace. It also allows you to wire the hood seperately from the rest of the body . I used Weatherpak connectors to plug all the wiring together.

My Manx with Lake Michigan in the backround. Good shot of my Camco Fab stainless muffler, bolted to an original chrome Manx Sidewinder header. I will probably have the header ceramic coated this spring. The Camco Fab muffler really sounds sweet.

The electric fuel pump mounting. Facet fuel pumps are very picky about the fuel they injest so I have a German made, Mann filter between the tank and the pump.I also have a filter filtering the fuel as it exits the pump. You can't be to careful.

FUSE PANEL LATCH. This picture shows the panel in it's closed (latched position. The spring loaded knob is available from McMaster-Carr. The latch has a pin that fits into a hole that I drilled in the crossbar under the dash.
Please excuse the complete lack of photographic quality, I stuck the camera under the dash and hoped for the best.

This is the 2nd reincarnation of my 1914. I had the SCAT C-45 cam go flat in a matter of 1500 miles. I'm trying a Web Cam this time with SLR treated SCAT Lube-A-Lobe lifters. Time will tell.

I was seeing a lot of oil vapor in the breather filter. I went to Walgreens and bought a copper scouring pad and installed it in the breather. It seperates the oil from the vapor and allows the oil to drain back into the engine.

Here is a rather blurry picture of the rear on my Manx showing the camber compensator. Give me a break, I was kneeling in the snow to get this picture. I didn't realize it doesn't stick down any further then the 1 1/2 qt. oil sump on the engine.
