SUPPORT CLAMPED TO DASH.
Not knowing how much of the support you have, I would start by mounting the angle to the underside of the top of the dash.

SUPPORT W/TUBING.
I cut the upper dash support off the lower support and side plates, when I replaced my ABS dash with a fiberglass dash. I reused the lowerdash support with the side plates.
The side plates along with the lower dash support should be easy to fabricate. The side plates are 3/16 x 1 flat stock. They extend from the top dash support angle to below the lower dash support, far enough to bolt thru the body.
The windshield bolts pass thru the fiberglass of the hood, then the 3/16 side plates.

The 1" round tubing in the photo typically runs the length of the dash and welds to the side plates.
The bottom of my dash was actually pop riveted to the lower dash support.

ANGLE END VIEW.
Note: The 3/8" rods do not come off the angle at 90 degrees. The ends of this angle are usually welded to the side plates.
