The processing bins collaped under the weight of what was left inside after the mine was abandoned, probably due to some rare rain in the area causing the talk to soak up all the moisture greatly increasing the wieght.

The cave-in just behind where the guys were standing. Being a talc mine, the tailings are very soft. You can see the sink-holes in the ground above that were created by the cave-in just above where it occurred.

Road to the China Ranch Date Farm was quite a suprise with all the beautiful greenery and geologic formations in opposition to each other.

Back at camp, the weather was still perfect. The following day, we would return to my tent blown over and trying to make a run for it because it was sooo windy!

End of the road (for us at least!). There was a huge iron gate with re-bar spikes sticking out of it to prevent anyone from ramming it open I guess. We were told an old crotchetty lady with a double barrel shotgun would greet us if we chose to ignore the no trespassing signs.
