This is the 1st attempt at putting the motor in the chassis. The 2 lower bolts in the adapter plate interfere with the rear transaxle mounts. Also, nothing can extend beyond the face of the bellhousing, or it will hit the plate.

Radiator mock up #1. The pink styrofoam represents the 2" thick 14" X 16" core & the white styrofoam is the fan sitting next to the mock up. The black line above the radiator represents the side of the tub. Very little clearance.

Radiator mock up #2. After trying the radiator both horizontal & vertical, there is more room to do it vertical, The problem is the depth of the pod, not length or width.

The engine came with a 228 MM Stage 2 KEP clutch which will require some clearancing in the bell housing.

We had to do a lot of clearancing of the bellhousing. the rough areas are where we ground out material.

05/18/08 We finally have the engine in. All of the accessories now get hooked up. We still have to get the wiring hooked up.

Beefed up transaxle with Gene Berg mounts. We also added a Beef -a- diff, stronger 1st & 2nd gear shaft & changed the gear spacing. 930 CV's and axles will also be used.

1st attempt at using the Earl's supply tubing beader on the 1 1/2" .035 wall tubing that will be used for radiator lines. Works great!

The upper bumper mounts were moved from between the shock & shock mount to outboard of the shock mount to help raise the lower mounts. I also made a cross bar to support radiator tubes.
