Now a spanner in the works - decided to run a 1968 pan to solve two problems: A) wanted ball joint pan, B) wanted a higher ratio s/a box.

Thanks to Lex for the sale of his pan/body. I had swing axle super diff and heavy duty side plate already, hence not going to an IRS rear end.

Body mock up#1 - post mount modifications.

Front beam received some two pack basecoat clearcoat in silver (colour matched to other powdercoated bits). Excuse messy workshop!

Fitted up the popouts - a bit of a fiddly job but nothing too hard

First batch of chrome plating - big wrap to Chrome Connection here in Brisbane.

Holley blue fuel pump with regulator (red spring to regulate at around 3psi)

I had a pair of 35mm spacers machined up in porsche to porsche pcd. Rear wheels tuck in nicely now.

Take a closer look for the spacer siting in there. Long axles would have resulted in a thinner spacer (remembering I started with 6in fuchs)

Picked up the narrowed beam (80mm) from Custom Offroad today...needs a good cleanup but once again the work was top notch. Will now have to bolt it up to check body clearance, then tack on steering stop...and see if I have to modify pitman arm.

Body is off pan yet again in readiness for paint.

The chassis black (from por15) has been scratching and chipping way too easily as it was applied over primer (even though sales rep said this was okay)...so it will be stripped back and repainted in two pack.
